034: Hope, Thinking Big, and Being Ambitious with Greg Rollett

My guest today is up to some really cool projects including Ambitious Adventures, a groundbreaking reality show highlighting a new generation of entrepreneurial superstars. Set to air in 2017!

Greg Rollett started his first business when he was 17. His high school let him out of class at noon everyday his senior year to start a business and Greg thought it would be really smart for a white kid from the burbs to create a hip-hop record label because he wanted to be Master P.

Since then he’s gone on to start and partner with multiple 6&7 figure businesses in media, marketing and PR. Greg has written Best-Selling books, helped produce Emmy Nominated Documentaries, given a talk at the United Nations, filmed a pilot for a travel show and founded Ambitious.com. He has been seen on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CNN, E!, A&E, Bio, Inc, Fast Company, Forbes, HuffPo, Mashable and many other media outlets.

And he’s done it all while marrying his high school sweetheart and having 2 pretty awesome little boys that love going to baseball games.

We dive into topics like

  • How Greg started out in his professional career as a rapper
  • The birth of Ambitious Adventures
  • The (surprising) big mindset shift that really needs to take place in order to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset
  • What entrepreneurship has done for Greg
  • What it means to adopt an abundance mindset
  • Working together and the power of collaboration
  • What the transition from rapper to entrepreneur looked like
  • How Greg brought all his skills from the music industry into the media industry
  • What Greg is up to with Ambitious.com
  • How he learned to leverage his business after a conversation with Peter Diamandis
  • The changing terrain of business and where it’s going
  • How the current education system is not set up for success
  • How we are shifting into a results driven world
